What a find!!

Whilst searching in the loft for a lost item, I found an old Hornby Dublo box for Bulleid West Country 4-6-2 BARNSTAPLE. That loco was lost 42 years ago to DCR, but what was still in the box?
B/W transaparencies (did them myself 42 years ago- using a kit called Dia-Direct). Reasonable quality as well. Please be patient.
There will be A4's at York, Q6 and WD's at Wakefield, Jubilees and Britannia's at Carlisle, etc!!!!!

There are 5 films in all. The following is half of one of them(I reckon 1966).
All taken at Wakefield Kirkgate(unless stated)- plenty more to come.Stanier Jubilee 45739 Ulster approaches Wakefield Kirkgate on an unfitted freight.
What a comedown for this engine.
Ulster and sister engine 45694 Bellerophon were both Wakefield engines at this time.

70026 Polar Star. At last a shot of a Britannia.
To see my Britannia, click here.
But look closely. It has obviously been involved in a collision - see the bent running plate above the bufferbeam. It shows the state of the railways in 1966, being allowed to run in such a condition.

Q6 63420 runs into the station light engine from the Normanton direction(where it was shedded)

63420 heads back to Normanton.

B1 61173 stands in the Station

LMS Jubilee 45565 VICTORIA receives enthusiast attention on Low Moor Shed.
(Could be DCR himself - can't tell)
